The Memory of GIUNGLA
A speleological exploration through the GIUNGLA archive from 2020 to today with Giuditta Vendrame

First online session: Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Second online session: Monday, July 7, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Further sessions starting in September — dates to be announced.

Participation in all sessions is not mandatory. What matters to us is gathering different perspectives on all the collected materials: photos, notes, texts, audio recordings, WhatsApp messages, unpublished documents, and live testimonies from those who have inhabited the GIUNGLA since 2020.

The outcome of this research will be a unique editorial project, born from the sharing and collaboration of our journey with other viewpoints and perspectives.

Open to members of S.o.f.a. APS and to new adventurers.

Giuditta Vendrame is a visual artist and researcher based in the Netherlands. Her collaborative and interdisciplinary practice explores the socio-political structures that govern mobility and shared spaces, using a range of media including collage, installations, and works on paper. She works with ordinary materials (pebbles, glass, laws) and intangible fragments (songs, memories) to create spaces for reflection. Her installations invite the public to move through unstable environments, challenging the promises of safety embedded in systems of control. Water, sky, and space are central themes in her work, used to question rigid concepts like nationhood and citizenship. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as the Venice Biennale, Deutsches Historisches Museum, and Walker Art Center. She has participated in various artist residencies across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Parlatoio #1 – Massaciuccoli Oasis | Score for a Walk on the Lake

parlatoio
The idea came from Sharon, then Federica made us dive into the lake, and Irene began to conduct the orchestra of words and verses that populate our days as readers, lovers of stories and places, clouds and marshes. And then we found companions and fellow travelers, whom we thank. First of all LIPU with Leo, then Selene and Christian who brought Massaciuccoli to Venice — to the last Venice Architecture Biennale, and Chiara and Enzo, with their sensitivity that touches everything with a sound.
