This book is a catalogue of satirical parties, fake movements, and a concise history of political irreverence. Some of these parties are openly playful and tongue-in-cheek; others seriously depart from conventional thinking by embracing eccentric positions. Yet all of them put forward a vision, proposing changes that often prove more radical than those of their official counterparts.

It is, therefore, a collection of “imaginary revolutions” that, even when they do not directly alter reality, project ideas, critiques, and alternative visions. A theatricalization of revolutionary ruptures capable of opening cracks in the established order and breaking, through their redeeming comedy, into the narrow stage of conventional politics.

Graziano Graziani was born in Rome and works across theatre, travel writing, and literature. He is one of the voices of Fahrenheit on Rai Radio 3. He has written for numerous magazines, including Il Tascabile, minima&moralia, Snaporaz, and Lucy. Sulla cultura.
